Welcome to Uniplan ("we", "our", or "the app"), accessible at https://uniplan-course-schedule-planner.vercel.app/. Uniplan is a university course schedule planning application designed to help students organize academic timetables and export them to calendar services.

1. Information We Collect

Uniplan operates primarily as a client-side productivity tool. We collect and process the minimum information necessary to provide calendar synchronization:

Local Course Data: Course codes, titles, class meeting times, and locations entered by the user are stored locally in your browser storage (localStorage).
Google Account Information: When you voluntarily connect your Google Account via Google Sign-In, we receive your basic profile information (such as your email address and display name) solely for authentication and session management.
Google Calendar Access: When you initiate the "Sync to Google Calendar" feature, our application requests OAuth permission to access your Google Calendar (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar).

2. How We Use Google User Data

Limited Use Policy Compliance: Uniplan's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, Google Calendar access is used strictly to:

Create a dedicated secondary calendar in your Google Calendar (e.g., named "[Your Plan Name] - Uniplan").
Add recurring schedule events corresponding to the class sessions you configured in your schedule.

We never read, modify, or delete your existing private calendars or events outside of the schedule calendars created by Uniplan.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information or Google Calendar data with any third parties or advertisers. All interaction with the Google Calendar API occurs securely via standard Google OAuth 2.0 endpoints.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your course schedules are saved locally on your device. We do not store copies of your Google Calendar events, schedule entries, or Google access tokens on our backend servers. Google OAuth tokens are temporarily held in client-side memory to complete the user-requested calendar creation and are discarded upon logging out or closing the session.

5. User Control and Revoking Access

You can disconnect your Google Account at any time using the "Sign Out" button in the Uniplan export dialog. You can also permanently revoke Uniplan's access to your Google account at any time via Google Account Permissions.
